1. Who we are (statutory business information).
These terms govern orders placed on cathycopywriter.com. The provider is cathycopywriter, Krzywa 44, 76-200 Słupsk, Poland; NIP 839-312-45-64; EU VAT ID PL8393124564; REGON 220573180; email support@cathycopywriter.com; phone +48 887 802 073 ("the Studio", "we"). "Client" means the person or company placing an order. "Consumer" means a Client who is a natural person acting for purposes not directly related to their business or profession.
2. The service.
We write, edit and adapt texts in Polish and English, as described on each service page: the scope, the number of pages, products or words, the delivery format and the turnaround. The service is digital. Nothing is shipped. We do not provide sworn or certified translations, legal advice, design, publishing or technical SEO.
3. Orders and contract.
An order is placed through the checkout or by accepting a written quote. The contract is formed when we confirm the order by email. We confirm within one working day of the order. We may decline an order for a good reason, for example a subject we cannot write about responsibly, and if we do, we refund any amount paid.
4. Prices, VAT and payment.
Prices are net of VAT and shown in euro on the English site and in złoty on the Polish site. VAT is added according to the rules shown at checkout: 23% for customers in Poland and for EU consumers; 0% under the reverse-charge mechanism for EU businesses with a valid VAT ID; no Polish VAT for customers outside the EU. The final amount is shown before you pay. Payment is due when the order is placed. Where online payment is not available, we issue a pro-forma invoice payable by bank transfer within 7 days, and work starts when it is paid.
5. Kick-off and delivery.
After the order, we agree a kick-off call within our office hours (Mon-Fri 8:00-18:00, Sat 9:00-16:00, Polish time). Turnaround times shown on the price list run from the kick-off call, once the brief is complete. We deliver the text as a Google Doc and a DOCX by email. Turnaround times are targets we take seriously; delay caused by late materials, late feedback or unavailable interviewees moves the date accordingly.
6. Revisions.
Every package except the Copy audit includes two revision rounds. A round is one consolidated set of comments from you and our revised version. A third round is charged at 20% of the package price. A change of brief, such as a different audience or offer, is a new job and is quoted separately.
7. Client responsibilities.
You give us accurate briefs, facts and material, you have the right to give us that material, and you answer questions within two working days. You are responsible for checking facts, prices, legal statements and claims in the final text before publishing it. If the Client is silent for 30 days, we may close the job and inform the Client what has been delivered.
8. Intellectual property.
On full payment, the economic copyright in the delivered text passes to you, with the right to use, reproduce, distribute, publish online, adapt, translate and make available the text in all fields of exploitation known at the date of delivery, without limits in time or territory. Until full payment, you may use the drafts for evaluation only. We keep the right to our working notes and general know-how. We may mention the job in our work section anonymously, by sector, only with your permission.
9. Confidentiality.
We treat your briefs and materials as confidential and use them only for your job. We do not put confidential material into public AI tools without your written permission. This obligation continues after the job ends.
10. Results.
We promise clear, carefully edited text delivered as described. We do not promise sales, conversion rates, search rankings or any specific result, because those depend on factors outside the text.
11. Retainers and monthly packs.
Retainers and monthly article packs are billed monthly in advance. Either side may end them with 30 days' notice, given in writing (email is enough). A month already delivered is not refunded. Retainer words do not carry over to the next month.
12. Cancellation and refunds.
These are set out in the Refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
13. Liability.
Toward Clients who are businesses, our total liability for a job is limited to the fees paid for that job, except for damage caused intentionally. We are not liable for lost profit or indirect loss. Nothing here limits the rights of Consumers under mandatory law.
14. Complaints.
Write to support@cathycopywriter.com describing the problem. We reply within 14 days.
15. Consumer rights.
If you are a Consumer, you have the statutory rights of the Polish Consumer Rights Act, including the right to withdraw within 14 days, explained in the Refund and cancellation policy. You may use out-of-court dispute resolution, including mediation and the help of the district consumer ombudsman and the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
16. Governing law and courts.
These terms are governed by Polish law. For Consumers, this does not take away the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence. Disputes with Clients who are businesses are decided by the common court competent for the Studio's seat. Disputes with Consumers are decided by the courts competent under the statutory rules.
17. Changes.
We may change these terms for future orders. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
